Binary systems or base two number system is a system of writing numbers using two symbols 0 and 1. (Sistem bilangan biner atau sistem bilangan basis dua adalah sebuah sistem penulisan angka dengan menggunakan dua simbol yaitu 0 dan 1.)

Modern binary number system was invented by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz in the 17th century. This numbering system is the basis of all digital-based number system. Of the binary system, we can convert into Octal or Hexadecimal number systems. The system also can be called by the term bit, or Binary Digit. (Sistem bilangan biner modern ditemukan oleh Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz pada abad ke-17. Sistem bilangan ini merupakan dasar dari semua sistem bilangan berbasis digital. Dari sistem biner, kita dapat mengkonversinya ke sistem bilangan Oktal atau Hexadesimal. Sistem ini juga dapat kita sebut dengan istilah bit, atau Binary Digit.)

Grouping the binary inside the computer is always numbered 8, with the term 1 Byte. In computer terms, 1 Byte = 8 bits. Design codes of the computer, such as ASCII, American Standard Code for Information Interchange using the system’s lawyer-code 1 Byte. (Pengelompokan biner dalam komputer selalu berjumlah 8, dengan istilah 1 Byte. Dalam istilah komputer, 1 Byte = 8 bit. Kode-kode rancang bangun komputer, seperti ASCII, American Standard Code for Information Interchange menggunakan sistem peng-kode-an 1 Byte).

How binary works:
The binary number system (aka base 2) represents values using two symbols, typically 0 and 1.
Computers call these bits. A bit is either off (0) or on (1). When arranged in sets of 8 bits (1 byte) 256 values can be represented (0-255).
Using an ASCII chart, these values can be mapped to characters and text can be stored.
